Day 1	Welcome to Delhi International Airport! Upon arrival, our team will assist you and transfer you to your pre-booked hotel by a private chauffeur-driven vehicle. New Delhi is the capital of India, has been inhabited continuously since the 6th century BCE and has served as the capital of multiple kingdoms and empires throughout its history. In the 1920s, it was redesigned by Sir Edwin Lutyens and Sir Herbert Baker. Today, Delhi is a bustling metropolis that serves as a vibrant hub of international arts and culture and a thriving commercial centre. Please note that the standard check-in time at hotels is 2 pm. As most international flights arrive in the evening or night, we do not have any sightseeing activities planned for the first day of the trip. However, if your flight arrives early in the day and you don\'t require time to recuperate from international travel, we can arrange some sightseeing on the first day of the trip at an additional charge. Day 2	MORNING: TOUR OF OLD & NEW DELHI Old Delhi is known for its hustle and bustle, energy and colour, local shops and bazaars, and twists and turns of narrow lanes between soaring buildings and leaning houses. A rickshaw ride through the busy and narrow streets of Chandni Chowk will give you a unique experience. Take a look at the marvellous Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque. Drive past the Red Fort while enjoying the rickshaw ride. Your next stop is Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial – a calm and quiet place in complete contrast to the commotion of the old walled city. Amongst other prominent attractions to cover on the same day is the golden-domed Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a famous Sikh temple, which has a huge kitchen where the langar (free food for anyone who wants it) is prepared for thousands of people every day. Volunteers mostly staff it, and you can go in and look around or even help out. Visit the inspiring Mughal monument, Humayun’s Tomb - UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the first garden-tomb in the country, constructed in 1570. Later, zip around the Connaught Place shopping centre and be mesmerised by the fast-paced and upscale lifestyle. Take a look at the India Gate and other princely buildings, including Rashtrapati Bhavan, to admire the architectural grandeur of modern Delhi. From here, visit the magnificent Qutab Minar - UNESCO World Heritage site. Marvel at the towering minaret, standing at a height of 73 meters, and admire the intricate carvings and architectural brilliance of this 12th-century masterpiece. Day 3	Travel to Varanasi by flight. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Varanasi, also known as Benaras, is considered one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world, situated on the sacred banks of the Ganges river. According to legend, Varanasi is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva, who brought the celestial Ganga river to earth, making it a holy site. It has been a destination for pilgrims for centuries and is regarded as one of the seven sacred cities in India. Thousands of devotees visit Varanasi to bathe in the Ganges, which is believed to cleanse them of their sins. It is also considered a place where cremation leads to salvation. The city\'s rich history, art, and traditions are reflected in its vibrant ghats, and it is also a significant site for Buddhism, as Sarnath, where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon, is just 12 km away. AFTERNOON: TOUR OF OLD CITY Explore India’s most sacred city for Hindu’s, which is the oldest living city in the world. During the visit to the Old city you will share space with cows, scooters etc. and walk through the narrow alleys where every street corner has a roadside shrine or temple and vendors selling garlands, incense sticks and other items used in worship. Day 4	MORNING: BOAT RIDE ON GANGES AT SUNRISE The best way to experience the life in Varanasi is to tour the Ganges in a country boat at sunrise as early morning life in this city revolves around the Ghats. You will see Pilgrims, yogis and mystics flock to the ghats, to take a cleansing dip in India\'s holiest river, practice yoga, meditate, or washing clothes and vessels. Return to your hotel to breakfast and rest. INCLUDED: Country boat ride, personal English-speaking guide & private Chauffeur-driven vehicle. AFTERNOON: SARNATH TOUR Sarnath, where Buddha delivered his first sermon in 500 BC, and the precise location is commemorated by the Dhamekh Stupa. Nestled within the Archaeological Park, you will explore the remnants of the modest monastery where Buddha resided during his visits and walk along the path he used for meditation. Following a visit to the exceptional museum showcasing sculptures unearthed from the park, proceed to the relatively recent Buddhist temple adorned with murals by a Japanese artist depicting significant moments from Buddha\'s life. Day 5	Morning transer to the airport by a private chauffeur driven car to board flight. Drive to the love city of Agra by a private chauffeur-driven vehicle. Agra, the capital of the Mughal Empire during the 16th and 17th centuries, boasts three UNESCO world heritage sites that serve as legacies from that period: the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and the ancient city of Fatehpur Sikri.
Day 6	MORNING: TOUR OF TAJ MAHAL, AGRA FORT AND ITMAD-UD-DAULAH Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride to the fabled Taj Mahal, the legendary Mughal monument built in the 17th century. The Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and stands tall as a memorial to the beloved queen of Emperor Shah Jahan. The spectacular white marble mausoleum is well-complimented by the sprawling gardens, royal audience halls and private chambers. Visit the Red Fort, also called as the Lal-Qila, is a red sandstone fort, built by Akbar, is admired for its splendour, architectural beauty and magnificent halls. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the fort is the emblem of resilience, power and strength. Once the capital of the Mughal Sultanate, the citadel brags about several majestic palaces, masjids and halls; the most prominent amongst them are Macchi Bhawan, Shah Jahani Mahal, Khas Mahal, Mina Masjid, Nagina Masjid and Hall of Public Audience (Diwan-I-Am). Later visit the Itmad-Ud-Daulah is a Mughal mausoleum that will stun you with ‘Pietra Dura’ inlay and lattice marble screens. Owing to its similarity with the exquisite Taj Mahal, Itmad-Ud-Daulah is popularly called as the “Baby Taj”, a perfect draft of the white tomb. The structure, also described as a “jewel box”, is embedded with sprawling gardens and beautiful outbuildings. Day 7	MORNING: TOUR OF MEHTAB GARDEN TO VIEW TAJ MAHAL Immerse in a beautiful sunrise of view of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh, across the Yamuna River. The Mughal garden is located on the other side of the river. INCLUDED: Monument Entrance Fees, Battery Van ride, personal English-speaking guide and private Chauffeur-driven vehicle VISIT FATEHPUR SIKRI (En-route Stop) Visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Jaipur, Rajasthan\'s renowned walled capital city, is also known as the \"Pink City.\" This nickname originates from the city painted pink in 1876 as a symbol of the locals\' warm welcome to the visit of Queen Victoria of England and the Prince of Wales.
Day 8	MORNING: TOUR OF JAIPUR CITY AND AMBER FORT Today spend day in Jaipur exploring the impressive forts, majestic castles, vibrant local bazaars, local souvenirs and experience real India. The day starts with an elephant ride to the Amer Fort for the Hall of Public Audience, the Palace of Mirrors and other important attractions. Reach early to avoid the huge crowd at the fort. If you don\'t like to experience an Elephant ride, then a jeep can be arrnanged to get up there on the hill fort. From here, head to the City Palace and appreciate its magnificent gardens and striking courtyards. They offer a brilliant contrast to the awe-inspiring palatial structures, such as the Shri Govind Dev temple, Badal Mahal, Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal. Also, visit the Diwan-e-Khas and marvel at the giant silver water vessels. Jantar Mantar is the next attraction. The observatory comprises several impressive buildings of distinctive geometrical forms, each having a unique function for astronomical measurement. Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, is a striking attraction with more than 900 windows. Later in the day, explore and indulge in shopping at the colourful bazaars of Jaipur. Day 9	Drive to the blue city of Jodhpur by a private chauffeur-driven vehicle. Jodhpur is the second-largest city in Rajasthan, and it\'s a sight to behold. The city boasts a stunning architectural wonder with its sea of sapphire-blue painted houses and the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort standing guard. The medieval lanes, bustling markets, and leisurely pace create a captivating labyrinth. Jodhpur\'s rich royal heritage is showcased in landmarks such as the lavish Umaid Bhawan Palace and the majestic Jaswant Thada. To immerse yourself in the city\'s essence, visit its vibrant bazaars. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure enjoying hotel facilities.
Day 10	MORNING: CITY TOUR OF JODHPUR Visit the 15th-century majestic castle - Meherangarh Fort, situated 410 feet above the city. The fort is perched on a low sandstone hill, enclosed by imposing thick walls. As you take a tour of the fort, you will see the palace apartments astoundingly designed and decorated with exquisite engravings, jewellery, armour, costumes, lattice and mirror work. Move ahead and stop at Jaswant Thada. Admire the splendid cenotaph before browsing through the colourful bazaars of the city and visit Clock tower and Sadar Market. The area around the bazaars is a wonderful example of 19th-century town planning, blending Rajasthani concepts with more contemporary styles. Day 11	Drive to the lake city of Udaipur by a private chauffeur-driven vehicle. Udaipur, the former capital of the Kingdom of Mewar, is often called the \"City of Lakes.\" It is renowned for its vast hilltop forts, palaces, temples, and gardens that remind it of its glorious history. VISIT RANAKPUR TEMPLE (En-route Stop) The place is dotted with an intricate 15th century Jain Temple that almost resembles the magnificent Khajuraho temples. The splendour of the stunning marble architecture, enticing ceilings and uncountable pillars will take your breath away. Please note tour guides are not allowed for sightseeing inside the temple. Day 12	MORNING: TOUR OF CITY PALACE AND BOAT RIDE ON LAKE PICHOLA Get ready to sink in the awe-striking sights of Udaipur. The city brings in an exceptional combination of the regal forts and the fairy-tale palaces. The City Palace should be the first thing to see and revel in the beauty of the palace for its exotic paintings, exquisite mirror work and mosaics of peacocks. Constructed in a flamboyant style, the palace complex is the largest of its type in Rajasthan. Witness the impeccable fusion of the Mughal and Rajasthani architectural styles. Your next stop is at Saheliyon-ki-Bari – Courtyard of Garden of the Maidens. A lotus pool, marble elephants, chiselled kiosks, fountains and a museum are the main attractions inside the courtyard. Enjoy a relaxing cultural tour of the historic city of Udaipur in a common shared boat on Lake Pichola. Your boat takes you past hills, palaces, temples and bathing ghats surrounding this famous lake. The two island palaces, Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir are situated. Day 13	A private chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport. At the airport, you will board a flight to Delhi and connect your International onward/return flight (No services in Delhi). End of tour services. We had an incredible holiday in India organised by Elegant Journey Mr Vivek 11th years ago, I’m so glad we ask Mr Vivek to helped us again this time. And without fail this was another incredible holiday, and I can say won’t be our last. This time we went to Ladakh and Rajasthan and all were perfectly organised. Hotels/ guides/ drivers all were well chosen I would like to special highlight Mr Yoginder our Rajasthan driver he was really good reliable and to us he is more than just a driver he is a good friend. Also Remesh and Sonam our guides in Ladakh region, it is an area no one should missed. Elegant Journeys is a five-star tour company headed by Vivek Wadhawan. He is on top of very single issue. Tours are custom-made, and private. Vivek meets you personally at the beginning of the tour and he sends a company representative to every city we visited. You have your own AC car, driver and guide for every destination. The driver stays with you throughout. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DEV SINGH AS A TOUR DRIVER. He is excellent, a very kind individual and quite knowledgable as well. He shared many personal stories and insights of India and its culture. He catered to our every need, supplied us with COLD water every single minute and was alert and always ready when we needed him. He made sure that he was available to help us in any way, shape or form. The guides never made us feel coerced into shopping certain stores and only brought us when we asked. Our guide in JAIPUR - RAJIV - was equally jovial. His guided tour was entertaining as he inserted a lot of anecdotes to the tour. However, I cannot emphasize the pleasure of having DEV SINGH as our guide for 6 days - simply a superb human being. GREAT INDIA TOUR OPERATOR

Elegant Journeys is an excellent company headed by Vivek Wadhawan who is very hands on. All of the tours offered are private and there are both predetermined tours and special itineraries if desired. The company has a roster of office help, drivers and local representatives in each place you visit. It also has good arrangements with the Oberoi hotel organization and our accommodations were incredible. The company goes the extra mile to ensure that your experience is unique. When some visitation sites are closed Vivek personally instructs the assigned guides to other sites to guarantee unique experiences. When internal flights are cancelled he arranges options: either other flights or a driver to transport you to the next location. The company throws in extras and is intent to see that you have a first rate experience. You should not hesitate to sign on with Elegant Journeys. Dealing with the company directly is very efficient and guarantees that there are people on the ground who will monitor and take care of your every need. It also eliminates another level of charges dealing with a U.S. company which in turns deals with its Indian counterpart. Vivek is a first class gentleman who is very professional. The guides who were assigned to us by the local representative offices were excellent. Special requests were handled willingly. The hotels were fabulous. Last but not least the driver assigned to us, Dev, was remarkable. Besides being an astounding driver he shared much information with us that put a very personal twist on life in India. We ended our journey feeling that we had made a good friend of Dev. Elegant Journeys ensured that we left with warm feelings for the country and the people we met. Even the most respected hotel brands could pick up one or two pointers from the Oberio organization. Highly recommended.

pleasant and friendly tour guide ever met

It is not possible to completely explore a place like Jaipur without a helpful tour guide and skilled driver who knows everything about the place. We were very lucky to have someone like Javed Bhai (MJ) and cab driver Mukesh ji who were so knowledgeable and helpful. It was amazing trip because of them.

A well planned and delivered itinerary

Our first time in India was potentially a daunting prospect. Abid planned an excellent itinerary for us from pick up at Delhi airport through to dropping us off at Jodhpur airport 12 days later. Unfortunately Abid was unable to accompany us, however we were fortunate his brother, Sabir was available to escort around Delhi, Deeg, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur. His knowledge was exemplary and showed us sites and places I’m sure we wouldn’t have covered if we’d been on a larger, commercial tour. Sabir’s focus on ensuring we were comfortable, safe and happy at all times was amazing. I cannot highly recommend enough Abid and Sabir to anyone contemplating a tour around the northern states of India. We had an amazing time. Thank you Sabir.

Jaipur trip

We would highly recommend our guide Tahir. Tahir was very knowledgeable in explaining the local heritage and culture of Jaipur. We learned so much about the historical sites and temples . He answered all our questions and was very considerate and polite. Tahir was very happy to follow our itinerary advising us on the best places to visit for shopping. Our elephant farm experience was out off this world. Tahir also made sure we had rest breaks, water and washroom breaks. As 2 lone female travellers we felt safe and secure at all times and would highly recommend to any solo female traveller. Our time in Jaipur was greatly enhanced by Tahir and made our first trip to India a very memorable experience.

Golden Triangle Tour

It was such a next experience for me and my wife to make this trip to India with Abid. Abid is a great guide, he knows a lot and also focused in our needs, we had an amazing time there doing the Golden triangle tour. We also celebrated my birthday in jaipur and it was so nice. We travelled with Abid because my daughter travelled with him before and it make our experience the best ever. Hotels, food and treatment was really great.
