Itinerary

Welcome to Delhi International Airport! Upon arrival, our team will assist you and transfer you to your pre-booked hotel by a private chauffeur-driven vehicle. New Delhi is the capital of India, has been inhabited continuously since the 6th century BCE and has served as the capital of multiple kingdoms and empires throughout its history. In the 1920s, it was redesigned by Sir Edwin Lutyens and Sir Herbert Baker. Today, Delhi is a bustling metropolis that serves as a vibrant hub of international arts and culture and a thriving commercial centre.

Experiences/Services Included on this day:

  • Private chauffeur-driven vehicle for seamless travel

Start your exploration of India with Old Delhi, it is known for its hustle and bustle, energy and colour, local shops and bazaars, and twists and turns of narrow lanes between soaring buildings and leaning houses. A rickshaw ride through the busy streets of Chandni Chowk offers a truly unique experience. Along the way, enjoy a tasting of local delicacies, giving you an authentic flavour of Old Delhi’s rich culinary heritage.

Visit the magnificent Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, and drive past the iconic Red Fort. Continue to Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi — a serene space that stands in striking contrast to the lively old city.

Absolutely! While the standard tour ends with a flight from Udaipur to Delhi on Day 10, Elegant Journeys offers tailor-made modifications—such as additional destinations, extended stays, or luxury enhancements—to suit your personal preferences. Travelers often add destinations like Varanasi, Ranthambore for a tiger safari, or Kerala for a relaxing houseboat experience. This flexibility ensures that your Golden Triangle with Rajasthan extension is truly one-of-a-kind.

The journey begins in Delhi, followed by visits to Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur. On the final day, you’ll fly from Udaipur to Delhi to catch your onward or international connection (with no further services in Delhi). This carefully designed route allows travelers to experience the cultural highlights of India’s Golden Triangle while also exploring the royal heritage of Rajasthan’s blue city (Jodhpur) and lake city (Udaipur).

The ideal time for this 10-day Golden Triangle itinerary is between October and March, when the weather is pleasant and perfect for sightseeing. Summers in Rajasthan can be very hot, especially in Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur, so it’s best avoided unless you prefer quieter travel. The winter season also coincides with cultural festivals, offering travelers a chance to witness local traditions. For those seeking fewer crowds, the months of September and April are also favorable.

Yes, this tour is one of the best choices for first-time visitors to India. It combines iconic destinations like Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur with the cultural charm of Rajasthan’s royal cities—Jodhpur and Udaipur. Each city offers a balanced mix of history, architecture, and local lifestyle, giving travelers a well-rounded introduction to India. Private transport, guided sightseeing, and carefully selected accommodations ensure that the journey is comfortable and stress-free for beginners.

Booking is simple and flexible. You can visit the Elegant Journeys website, explore the 10 Day Golden Triangle with Jodhpur & Udaipur - GT-269 tour page, and fill out the inquiry form with your travel details. Once submitted, the travel experts will connect with you to confirm availability, share tailored pricing, and suggest any customizations. Payments can be made securely, and once confirmed, you’ll receive a detailed itinerary and travel guide. The team also assists with flight suggestions and additional arrangements if needed.
